United Left pips ABVP in JNU, the blip of a liberal oasis in Delhi

The results of the elections to Jawaharlal Nehru University Students’ Union in Delhi were unsurprising. The united Left bested the right-wing ABVP. They had enough clout to back a nascent students’ body, the Birsa Ambedkar Phule Students Association, which emerged victorious for the first time. The results leave the Left victorious, but the Right is gaining in numbers as well.
