Union govt rejects Kerala’s demand to borrow ₹19,370 crore more

The Union government has rejected Kerala’s demand to borrow an additional ₹19,370 crore. The Union finance secretary conveyed the decision to a team of Kerala officials led by Chief Secretary V Venu. A state finance ministry source said that Kerala was eligible to borrow an additional ₹19,370 crore. The state delegation met the finance secretary following a Supreme Court directive.
