‘Unaccounted’ cash seized from multiplex of BRS leader’s kin

It is suspected that the cash was meant to fund former BRS MP B Vinod Kumar's poll campaign in Karimnagar.

The Telangana police seized “unaccounted” ₹6.65 crore in cash from Patima Multiplex at Karimnagar on Saturday, 16 March. The police said the search was carried out based on a tipoff. A  source said the multiplex belonged to the relatives of BRS’s Karimnagar Lok Sabha candidate and former MP B Vinod Kumar. The cash was reportedly meant to fund the election campaign.
