Trouble in UDF as Kottayam district chairman resigns

The UDF in Kerala found itself in trouble on Saturday, after its Kottayam district chairman resigned, citing mistreatment by a prominent MLA, Mons Joseph of the KC (Joseph). UDF district chairman Saji Manjakadambil stepped down alleging that he was neglected and insulted. MLA Joseph said the complaint and the resignation were some sort of political ploy.
