TN police files FIR against BJP leader Shobha Karandlaje

Karandlaje alleged that people from Tamil Nadu were behind the cafe blast which took place on 1 March in Bengaluru. She later apologised and retracted the remarks.

Madurai City police have registered an FIR against BJP leader and Union MoS Shobha Karandlaje for her questionable comments against Tamil people, charging her with promoting enmity between two groups and causing fear or alarm to the public. She alleged people from Tamil Nadu were behind the Bengaluru cafe blast, but apologized and retracted the remarks after public furore.
