TN MP Ganeshamurthi dies 4 days after suicide bid

The Erode Town police have already registered an attempt to suicide case. This will now be altered to a death-by-suicide case, police said.

Erode MP and MDMK leader A Ganeshamurthi, who allegedly attempted suicide, died at a Coimbatore hospital on Thursday. Ganeshamurthi, 77, consumed poison at his Erode home on 24 March. He was rushed to a hospital in Erode and later referred to another private institute in Coimbatore, where he died. He is survived by a son and a daughter.
