A couple arrested for alleged caste killing on Friday at Sathyamangalam in Tamil Nadu’s Erode district was remanded to judicial custody for 15 days. The Bhavanisagar police arrested Chandran (47) and his wife Chithra (40) on Thursday for allegedly killing their son-in-law Subash, belonging to another caste, in a staged road accident. Subash had married the couple’s daughter Manju on 7 October 2023.
