A court in Tamil Nadu’s Virudhunagar awarded 10 years imprisonment for suspended assistant professor Nirmala Devi, allegedly accused of enticing college girls to offer sexual favours to higher officials of the Madurai Kamaraj University. This came to light after an audio clip went viral on social media. She was arrested on 16 April 2018 following the college secretary’s complaint.
