The Telangana government made possession of ration cards mandatory for a farmers’ family to avail of crop loan waivers up to ₹2 lakh. The guidelines issued by the agriculture department have restricted the waiver to be availed only by one person in a family. All those who availed crop loans between 12 December, 2018 and 13 December, 2023 are eligible for the waiver.
