T’gana CM pulls up officials for escalating Warangal Hospital costs

Officials increased the cost by ₹625 crore reportedly based on an oral instruction by the previous BRS government.

Telangana CM A Revanth Reddy on Saturday expressed anger over the escalated estimated cost for the construction of Warangal Super Specialty Hospital. He questioned officials on raising the cost to ₹1,726 crore from the initial ₹1,100 crore without approval. He was chairing a review meeting on the modernisation of the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Hospital into a super speciality facility.
