The peak power demand has been around 14,000-15,000 megawatts since the past two weeks and it is expected to be around the same till mid-April.

The Telangana government is prepared to meet the state’s peak April-May electricity demand, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka asserted on Monday. He accused the Opposition BRS of spreading “lies” about power cuts. He said the discoms have tied up for getting adequate power through contracts, and added that the previous BRS government’s wrong policies neglected the power sector.
