The office of Telangana Director General of Police (DGP) Ravi Gupta on Friday, 3 May, promised “further investigation” into the Rohith Vemula suicide case. The assertion came hours after Telangana Police filed a closure report. The statement noted, “some doubts have been expressed by the mother and others of the deceased Rohith Vemula on the investigation conducted [sic]”.
