A total of 112 applications were accepted by the NMC nationwide for the initiation of new medical colleges.
The 2024-25 academic season for medical studies nearing, the southern states and private institutions have submitted applications for 30 new medical colleges to the National Medical Commission (NMC). Eleven applications are from Telangana, eight from Andhra Pradesh, five each from Karnataka and Tamil Nadu and one from Kerala. A total of 112 applications were accepted by the NMC nationwide.
