Former TDP minister and Chilakaluripet Assembly contestant Prathipati Pulla Rao’s son Sharath Prathipati was arrested for money laundering, causing a huge loss to the exchequer. The TDP termed the arrest “political vendetta” and accused the YSRCP government of foisting false cases on rivals. Prathipati was arrested on a complaint by Avexa Corporation Pvt Ltd, involved in an Amaravati road project.
