Swedish study finds tattoos may have cancer links

The study found that tattooed individuals had a significantly higher risk of lymphoma. Red inks which often contain Mercury, can be particularly harmful.

Swedish study finds tattoos may have cancer links

More than being an artistic expression of the self and a style statement, tattoos could also bring malignant lymphoma, a type of cancer affecting the lymphatic system, a Swedish study has warned. Indian oncologists and dermatologists said though the study doesn’t prove that tattooing cause cancer, the finding of possible connection, that cannot be and should not be dismissed.
