Stalin calls for meeting over K’taka not releasing ‘full water’

The meeting will be held at 11 am on 16 July, 2024 at the state secretariat in Chennai, under the leadership of Minister for Water Resources Duraimurugan.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Monday, 15 July, condemned neighbouring Karnataka for not releasing full water. Karnataka declining to release water according to the Cauvery Water Regulation Committee’s (CWRC) directive is a betrayal of Tamil Nadu’s farmers, Stalin said. He also announced an all-party meeting on 16 July, to decide the future course of action in the inter-state river dispute.
