Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin wrote to the Centre objecting to the environment ministry considering the Kerala government’s proposal of a new dam in Mullaperiyar. He sought the intervention of Environment Ministry as the idea was against the directions of the Supreme Court. He also wants discussions dropped on the proposed Environment Impact Assessment on 28 May.
