A passenger was reportedly bitten by a snake on a Madurai-bound train on Monday, 15 April, police in Kottayam said. The incident occurred on the Madurai-Guruvayur Passenger Express on Monday morning. The passenger, identified as Karthik from Madurai, was shifted to a hospital in Ettumanoor, they said, adding he is not seriously injured and his condition is stable.
