SC will hear Karnataka plea on drought aid in July

Senior advocate Kapil Sibal had told the bench that ₹3,450 crore was released but the state's request was for assistance of ₹18,000 crore.

The Supreme Court has agreed to hear Karnataka’s plea in July, urging the Union government to release National Disaster Response Fund (NDRF) aid for drought management. Senior advocate Kapil Sibal mentioned that while ₹3,450 crore was disbursed, Karnataka sought ₹18,000 crore. The bench scheduled the next hearing for July, with Karnataka planning to submit an affidavit in the case.
