Balaji was arrested on 14 June last year by the ED in connection with a money laundering case linked to a cash-for-jobs scam.
The Supreme Court is scheduled to hear on 1 April the bail plea of former Tamil Nadu minister V Senthil Balaji, arrested last year in a money laundering case. Balaji has challenged the Madras High Court’s 28 February order dismissing his second bail petition. The court, while dismissing the petition, said if he was let out, it would send a wrong signal.
