SC seeks Centre’s response on plea regarding NEET-SS in 2024

Petitioners said NEET-SS has to be held every year and the time schedule has already been fixed by the top court for admission to courses.

The Supreme Court on Friday, 19 July, sought responses from the Union government and others on a plea challenging the decision of the NMC to not conduct the NEET-SS 2024. A bench comprising Chief Justice DY Chandrachud and Justices JB Pardiwala and Manoj Misra was told by a lawyer that the NMC has decided to not hold the exam this year.
