Over 17,000 Accredited Social Health Activists, Auxiliary Nurse Midwives and other employees, part of the National Health Mission in Telangana, are in a pitiable state, having received their March salaries only on Friday, 31 May. The government has promised to give their April salaries on 4 June, but there is no certainty. Authorities are silent regarding the May salary.
