Rescued tigress released into Atmakuru forest in Andhra Pradesh

On 5 February, the tigress was saved from the snare entangled near its spine in the vicinity of Kothapalli forest beat in Nandyala district.

The Andhra Pradesh Forest Department officials have released a three-year-old tigress into the forest after treating it for injuries when it got entangled in a snare recently in the vicinity of Kothapalli forest beat in Nandyala district, said an official on Saturday, 9 March. The big cat was shifted to the veterinary dispensary near Atmakuru for treatment.
