The Narendra Modi 3.0 Cabinet saw the exclusion of two women frontrunners from the Telugu states — Andhra Pradesh BJP president D Purandeswari and BJP national vice-president from Telangana DK Aruna. According to sources in the BJP, the party may have a different assignment for Purandeswari. Selecting her would have meant searching for a new state president which might be difficult.
