A leaked audio clip, allegedly of a bar owner demanding bribes to influence liquor policy, sparked the row in Kerala. The Opposition in Kerala claims potential corruption involving a favourable new liquor policy, 2024-25, in exchange for solicited funds. The government denied the accusations. The Assembly session — beginning 10 June — will be hot with the policy likely to dominate discussions.
