A political slugfest is on in Kerala over the Citizenship (Amendment) Act notification. While the LDF and UDF opposed it, the BJP, opposing Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s statement, said Kerala would have to implement it. The government said it would check if a writ petition filed in the Supreme Court could be amended. The DYFI, too, is consulting legal experts.
