Polavaram still needs ₹12,157 cr and 4 years, says CM Naidu

He accused the Jagan Mohan Reddy government of diverting central grants amounting to ₹3,385 crore in the last five years.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday, 28 June, said the fallout of the damage done to the Polavaram Project allegedly by the previous YSRCP government would haunt the state and delay its completion by several years. There is a cost escalation of 38 percent which, including the losses so far, will amount to ₹12,157 crore, he said.
