BJP on Tuesday, 19 March, clinched a seat-sharing deal with Dr S Ramadoss-led Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) in Tamil Nadu for the Lok Sabha polls, allotting 10 seats to the latter. BJP state president K Annamalai and Ramadoss signed the pact. PMK is a Vanniyar community-dominated party and has significant influence in some of the northern districts of the state.
