PM statements violating Model Code of Conduct, complains Yechury

CPI(M) general secretary Sitaram Yechury on Thursday, 18 April, accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of making statements allegedly violative of the Model Code of Conduct in his campaign speeches. Yechury has approached EC listing out Modi’s statements allegedly “aimed at sharpening communal polarisation on the issue of Ram”. He also criticised the Congress for accusing the Left of not opposing Modi.
