Karnataka government has hiked sales tax on petrol and diesel with immediate effect. The prices have now gone up by ₹3 in the state. Karnataka Sales Tax (KST) has increased from 25.92 percent to 29.84 percent on petrol and from 14.3 percent to 18.4 percent on diesel. Petrol may sell at ₹103.84 per litre and diesel at ₹88.93 in Bengaluru.
