Three years after the administration of Injection Ceftriaxone that left a patient in a vegetative state due to anaphylactic shock, Tagore Medical College and Hospital in Chennai was ordered to pay ₹51,14,431 as compensation and ₹75,000 per month for the patient’s daily care. The District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission in Kancheepuram directed to pay the amount to the woman’s son.
