Parties drag their feet on Secunderabad Cantonment bypoll

The by-election has been necessitated by the death of 37-year-old BRS MLA Lasya Nanditha in a car accident on 23 February near Hyderabad.

The by-election has been necessitated by the death of 37-year-old BRS MLA Lasya Nanditha in a car accident on 23 February near Hyderabad. Nanditha’s sister Niveditha expressed her desire to contest to BRS president K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR). The party is assessing the sympathy factor still. The other parties are yet to find suitable candidates. Polling is on 13 May.
