Parakeet predicts PMK candidate’s win; owners held, released

Two roadside astrologers who predicted the Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) candidate’s victory in the 19 April Lok Sabha election with the help of their parakeet were arrested for keeping parakeets caged but were later released, a forest department official said on Wednesday, 10 April. Four parakeets in cages were seized and the brothers were later let off with a warning.
