Over 50 dead in stampede at ‘satsang’ in Uttar Pradesh’s Hathras

Officials said the incident occurred at a 'satsang' event in Pulrai village where people had gathered in large numbers.

Over 50 people died and several others were injured in a stampede at a ‘satsang‘ event in Hathras in UP on Tuesday where people had gathered in large numbers. Etah SP Rajesh Kumar Singh said 27 bodies arrived at Etah Hospital, 23 women, three children and a man. A district official later said 50 to 60 people were believed killed.
