Resident doctors suspected a cholera outbreak but Karnataka Health Department refuted it.
Resident doctors in water-scarce Bengaluru suspected a cholera outbreak after 47 postgraduate women hostellers of the Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute were hospitalised with its symptoms on Friday. Even as Health and Family Welfare Commissioner Randeep D said there was no cholera outbreak, the college principal ordered students not to drink water from the college. The students are stable.
