Opposition terms CAA “divisive law”; Kerala to reject it

Opposition leaders termed the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019, notified on Monday, a “divisive law” and “diversion tactic” from shifting the attention from the electoral bonds issue. The Congress alleged that the timing of notifying was designed to polarise the Lok Sabha elections. Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said the state would not implement the communally divisive law.
