The incident occurred at around 12:30 pm as two workers, Chandan (30) and Raj Kumar (18), both from Bihar, were involved in building foundation work.

Tragedy struck at a construction site in Mangaluru on Wednesday as one worker died and another was critically injured when they were trapped in a pit. The workers were part of a team constructing a superstructure in the city. The disaster unfolded when a section of loose soil gave way, trapping the men beneath a 20-foot-deep pit at the construction site.
