Olive oil lowers risk of dementia-related death, says study

Olive oil is known for its health advantages, notably its beneficial influence on the brain. Its high content of monounsaturated fats contributes to the heart’s health by reducing levels of LDL (bad cholesterol). Researchers find about a teaspoon (7g) of olive oil a day can lower risk of death due to dementia by 28 percent, particularly in women.
