Nipah: Kerala boy’s relatives test negative for virus

Minister Veena George said that there is no need to panic about Nipah and that contact list is being done in a foolproof manner.

Nipah outbreak in Kerala

The test results of the close relatives of the boy who died of Nipah, and others who had direct contact with him, are negative, Kerala Health Minister Veena George said on Tuesday. She said 17 swabs tested negative for Nipah infection. The 14-year-old boy from Malappuram, who was under treatment for Nipah infection, died on 21 July.
