Nimisha Priya, on death row in Yemen for killing a Yemeni, and her mother met in a Yemeni prison on 24 April after 11 years. She was convicted of murdering Talal Abdo Mahdi in 2017 to get back her passport. Delhi High Court allowed the mother the visit to negotiate blood money with the victim’s family and save her daughter.
