NIA nabs key accused in Karnataka’s Praveen Nettaru murder case

Mustafa Paichar, who carried a reward of ₹7 lakh, is the second absconding accused to be arrested in the case.

The NIA on Friday, 10 May, nabbed Mustafa Paichar a key absconder affiliated with the banned Popular Front of India (PFI), along with his harbourer, for the murder of BJP activist Praveen Nettaru in Karnataka in July 2022, officials said. Nettaru, a BJP member, was hacked to death by two motorcycle-borne assailants in Dakshina Kannada allegedly by PFI cadres.
