Nepal imposes ban on MDH, Everest product over safety concerns

On 20 April, South First reported that Hong Kong’s food regulator identified four products from MDH and Everest containing ethylene oxide.

Nepal’s food regulator has banned import, consumption, and sale of products of two prominent Indian spice brands, MDH and Everest, following quality concerns by Singapore and Hong Kong. The ban is subject to outcome of Nepal’s tests on the spice powders. On 20 April, South First reported Hong Kong’s food regulator identified four MDH and Everest products containing ethylene oxide.
