Election officials in Tamil Nadu’s Dindigul district on Thursday, 18 April, used mules to transport Electronic Voting Machines to a remote village ahead of polling on Friday for the general election. A video of polling staff placing the EVMs on the animals went viral on social media. The mules could be seen carrying the EVMs through the hilly region.
