Muezzin’s murder: Kerala govt to challenge RSS workers’ acquittal

A Kasaragod court acquitted three RSS activists, saying the prosecution failed in proving that they had any kind of enmity with the Muslim community.

The Kerala government issued an order on Tuesday to file an appeal in the high court against the trial court’s decision acquitting three RSS activists arrested for murdering a muezzin, Mohammed Riyas Maulavi, inside a mosque in Kasaragod. The LDF government issued the order as the opposition Congress started targeting the government in its ongoing poll campaign.
