Man with gun comes close to K’taka CM to garland minister

The incident happened at Bhairasandra when Siddaramaiah was campaigning for Reddy's daughter and Congress' Lok Sabha candidate Sowmya Reddy.

A gun-wielding man, on Monday, 8 April, went close to Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on an open vehicle in Bengaluru to garland Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy. The man, identified as Riyaz, suddenly climbed onto the vehicle with a gun on his waist. Police said Riyaz is exempted from surrendering the weapon after a murderous assault on him in the past.
