Veteran Malayalam director Harikumar breathed his last battling cancer at a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday evening, 6 May. He was 68 and is survived by his wife Chandrika and two daughters Ammu and Geethanjali. The Malayalam director left behind a legacy of films like ‘Sukritham’ that dealt with human emotions rather than the usual commercial mass masala.
