Newly appointed Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Steel HD Kumaraswamy has claimed he was misquoted that he had raised questions about the US-based semiconductor manufacturer potentially receiving ₹3.2 crore subsidy for every job it creates in Gujarat. He now says he never took Gujarat’s name, also clarifying that the semiconductor industry has the potential to create lots of jobs.
