A day before the first phase of elections in Karnataka, private bus operators have hiked bus tariff by at least 50 percent, compelling voters to shell out more. They hiked prices of non-AC sleeper and seater buses by at least 50 percent and AC sleeper buses by 80-90 percent when compared to the SRTCs, whose prices remain unchanged.
