A youth, angry at a girl for rejecting his proposal, threw acid at her which also injured two other girls, on Monday, 4 March, at a government pre-university college in Kadaba of Karnataka’s Dakshina Kannada. They suffered serious burns. Students and passersby reacted quickly and apprehended 23-year-old Abin Shibi, who hails from Kerala, and turned him over to the police.
