Both the victim and the accused were taken to the hospital, but the woman succumbed to her burn injuries on Tuesday morning, police said.

A Kerala woman on Tuesday, 5 March succumbed to over 90 percent burns suffered the previous night after her male friend set her afire, police said. The man also suffered heavy burns. They had an argument and he poured petrol on her and set her on fire. He got burnt too and jumped into a nearby well and was rescued.
